As I have mentioned before (and I have come to realize that so many people agree with me on this), I don’t make resolutions. I will make goals. They are all achievements that I am hoping to reach during the year and they are all suppose to be positive(no “I won’t…”). Without further ado, here are the big 9 in ‘09:
- Race in a half-marathon.
- Reach a healthy weight.
- Write my 500th blog post.
- Own a home.
- Be recognized as an attorney who takes care of her clients, always having their best interests in mind.
- Create a cookbook with my family’s favorite recipes.
- Take a portrait with the Husband every month.
- Make time daily for prayer, reflection and meditation.
- Learn to spend and save within a budget.
There you have it. My nine goals for the new year. Some of these goals are easily measured while others are aspirations. And of course I have my 101 in 1,001 that will be continuing this year. A lot of goal setting for one girl, isn’t it? But that is just the kind of gal I am.

I agree with you! Goals are much better than resolutions, and somehow easier to stick to. This is a really good list!
